The Mint Goeldii Philodendron, scientifically known as Philodendron goeldii 'Mint', is a plant species native to Brazil. It is named after the Brazilian botanist Adolpho Ducke who discovered it in the Amazon rainforest in the early 20th century. The name "Goeldii" is in honor of Emil August Goeldi, a Swiss-Brazilian naturalist and zoologist.

This plant is characterized by its unique, palm-like leaves that spiral around the central stem, giving it an attractive, architectural appearance. The 'Mint' variety is named for its light green, almost minty coloring.

In their native habitat, these plants grow in the understory of the forest, so they prefer indirect light. They are climbers in nature, but when grown in pots, they typically take on more of a bushy growth habit.

Mint Goeldii Philodendron is a relatively new variety to the houseplant market. It's gaining popularity among plant enthusiasts for its unique appearance and relatively easy-care requirements. Like most philodendrons, it prefers a spot with bright, indirect light, regular watering, and well-draining soil. It's a relatively fast grower and can reach up to 2 feet in height indoors.

Despite its exotic origins, the Mint Goeldii Philodendron is becoming more widely available in plant shops and online nurseries, making it a unique addition to any indoor plant collection.

White American Bresse

A white American Bresse, also known as the American Bresse or Bresse Gauloise, is a breed of chicken that has been developed in the United States, through the importation of French Bresse from their meat production lines. The American version of the Bresse is inspired by the traditional French Bresse chicken but has been selectively bred to suit American farming conditions and preferences.

The white American Bresse is a medium-sized chicken with a sturdy build and an elegant appearance. It has a white plumage that is typically clean and free of any markings, which is ideal for a clean table bird. The breed is known for its sleek and muscular body, with a well-developed breast and compact shape. The legs of the white American Bresse are usually dark slate blue in color and are well-suited for free-ranging and foraging.

In terms of temperament, the white American Bresse is known to be active, alert, and curious. They are typically docile and friendly, making them suitable for backyard enthusiasts and small-scale farmers.

The white American Bresse is highly regarded for its meat quality. It is known for its tender and flavorful meat, which is often described as succulent and juicy. The breed's meat is sought after by chefs and food enthusiasts for its excellent taste and texture. Truly a dual purpose breed, American Bresse lay medium-large sized cream-tan colored eggs almost daily.

Overall, the white American Bresse is a breed that combines the elegance of the traditional French Bresse with adaptations to suit American farming conditions.
