Meet Our Peafowl Flock
Our peafowl flock features a striking mix of rare and beautiful purple varieties, all raised with care here at Akers Family Farm.
• Zoro is our regal Black Shoulder Purple peacock, the centerpiece of the flock with his bold markings and rich coloring.
• Nami and Robin are classic Purple peahens, known for their soft violet hues and gentle nature.
• Vivi is a stunning Purple Black Shoulder peahen with distinctive patterning and a curious personality.
• Perona is our unique Purple Mocha hen—a rare beauty with a warm, smoky plum tone that sets her apart.
We breed selectively to preserve color, strength, and temperament. Eggs are only available during the short spring hatching season, and quantities are VERY limited.
Peafowl Egg Disclaimer – Please Read Before Purchasing
Peafowl hatching eggs are extremely difficult to hatch when shipped, even under ideal conditions. While we take great care in collecting, storing, and packing our eggs to give them the best chance possible, we cannot guarantee hatch rates due to variables outside of our control (such as postal handling, incubation methods, and environmental factors). All egg sales are final. We do not offer refunds or replacements if your eggs do not hatch. The peafowl hatching season is very short and limited, which means we cannot accommodate order replacements or resends, even if issues occur during shipping or incubation. By purchasing, you acknowledge and accept these terms. Thank you for your understanding and support of our farm! — Akers Family Farm
NPIP & AI certified farm located in north Florida. We test for fertility at the start of laying season. We CANNOT guarantee your hatch rate. Shipping hatching eggs is a gamble. As always, I am available by email to discuss any issues that arise. I truly want you to have a great hatch rate! |
How to Hatch Peafowl Eggs
Peafowl eggs take approximately 28–30 days to hatch. For best results, incubate them at 99.5°F with 40–50% humidity for the first 25 days. During the last 3–5 days (lockdown), increase humidity to 60–65% and stop turning the eggs.
Turn the eggs at least 3 times a day until lockdown. Use a forced-air incubator if possible, as stable temperature and humidity are critical. Let the chicks hatch naturally—do not assist unless absolutely necessary.
Peafowl are notoriously tricky to hatch, even with the best setup, so be patient and expect a lower hatch rate than with chickens or ducks.
Please make sure to be prepared prior to incubating your eggs on good hatching practices! I cannot replace your eggs due to a bad hatch. Once they have left my hands it’s impossible for me to control all the variables. If you need assistance with your hatch please contact me.

Hatching eggs
Hatching eggs
Hatching eggs are collected freshly 2-4x a day. We only offer hatching eggs if we are able to collect your eggs within 5 total days. Typically, we can collect your order in as little as 1-2 days. However, we may have multiple orders when you place your order, so please check the processing times on each breeds description. We typically pull the inventory on a specific breed if the wait will be longer than a month. If you need a better estimate please contact us directly.
Shipping
Shipping
Hatching eggs are shipped individually wrapped in bubble wrap. Each egg is placed into an egg carton, which is also bubble wrapped. This box is filled with shredded paper for buffer. The box is then placed into a second, larger box and buffered. This allows the best hatch rate.
Plants are shipped Monday-Wednesday only. They are packaged in rolled cardboard and poly fill to avoid breakage.
Care information
Care information

Plants should be kept in their pots and allowed 1-2 weeks to acclimate to your home prior to repotting.
