PREORDERS AVAILABLE NOW!

Fall 2024 update, Turkeys have already laid some surprise eggs for us this season! Therefore, PREORDERS are now available!

Please note orders take up to a week to collect! I freshly collect your eggs as you order them. I only take 1-2 orders at a time… but please be patient and expect up to a week for me to ship your eggs.  I will send you a message on the day that I drop them off to the post office.

You are purchasing Royal Palm/Mixed Color Heritage Turkey Hatching Eggs. We have 1 GORGEOUS show quality Royal Palm Tom, with 4 amazing and beautiful Royal Palm Hens. However we do not keep our our hens separated as we do not have space on our family farm. So we also have two incredibly rare and beautiful Recessive Slate Hens and one Narragansett hen. These are NOT mixed breeds. All heritage domestic turkeys are the same breed, they only differ in a few color genes. Our eggs are incredibly fertile as we keep 1 Tom and 7 hens.

That being said… shipping eggs is a gamble.  Always purchase more eggs than you would like to hatch, I typically expect 50% hatch rates when I purchase shipped eggs.

NPIP & AI certified farm located in north Florida. We test for fertility monthly throughout laying season. We CANNOT guarantee your hatch rate. Shipping hatching eggs is a gamble. We will guarantee that your eggs arrive well packaged and 100% fertilized. Due to the changes at USPS we no longer can file your damage claims, so please be prepared to file the claim online if the need arises.  As always, I am available by email to discuss any issues that arise.  I truly want you to have a great hatch rate and beautiful chicks!

***please note during the summer/winter we ONLY ship on Monday-Tuesday depending on your location. Please understand hatching shipped eggs during the summer/winter is a risk, I cannot refund your order due to a bad hatch rate or incubation during shipping. CANDLE and discard any bad eggs before incubating to avoid this issue. I send as many extras as I can to help you out***

Please do not wash your eggs prior to incubating them. We recommend incubating your eggs at 100F at a humidity of 40-45%. After 14 days candle your eggs and discard any that do not show growth. At day 25 candle your eggs again. At this time place all the developing eggs into lockdown at a humidity of 50-60%. They should hatch within a couple days, by day 28 of incubating.

Please make sure to be prepared prior to incubating your eggs on good hatching practices! I cannot replace your eggs due to a bad hatch. Once they have left my hands it’s impossible for me to control all the variables. If you need assistance with your hatch please contact me.

Hatching eggs

Hatching eggs are collected freshly 2-4x a day. We only offer hatching eggs if we are able to collect your eggs within 5 total days. Typically, we can collect your order in as little as 1-2 days. However, we may have multiple orders when you place your order, so please check the processing times on each breeds description. We typically pull the inventory on a specific breed if the wait will be longer than a month. If you need a better estimate please contact us directly.

Shipping

Hatching eggs are shipped individually wrapped in bubble wrap. Each egg is placed into an egg carton, which is also bubble wrapped. This box is filled with shredded paper for buffer. The box is then placed into a second, larger box and buffered. This allows the best hatch rate.

Plants are shipped Monday-Wednesday only. They are packaged in rolled cardboard and poly fill to avoid breakage.

Care information

Hatching eggs should be treated as described in our hatching guide.

Plants should be kept in their pots and allowed 1-2 weeks to acclimate to your home prior to repotting.
