It’s officially breeding season!
It’s officially our busy season here at Akers Farm, and we wanted to share a small behind-the-scenes look at how your hatching eggs make their way from our farm to your doorstep.
Every order is carefully collected, packed, and shipped as quickly as possible. We work through orders continuously as eggs are laid, and we truly do our best to keep everything moving efficiently.
The person you see here in the photos is my mom … she is the one carefully packing your eggs. Every box is handled by hand, with a lot of care to make sure your eggs arrive safely.
Because we offer many different breeds and eggs are collected daily, it’s not always possible for us to give an exact shipping date for individual orders. Orders move forward as eggs become available for that breed and as they are packaged. The moment your label is printed, that means your order is being packed and prepared for shipment.
We completely understand the excitement of waiting for your eggs and we never mind questions. We just ask for a little patience during this busy season while we work through the order list as quickly and carefully as we can.
Thank you for supporting our small family farm and for trusting us with your hatching eggs. We truly appreciate every order.
