April 2025 Availability Update: Our bantam polish coop is laying extremely well, and we’re currently caught up on orders. If you purchase today, we should be able to fill your order within a week. You are purchasing Blue Polish BANTAM hatching eggs. Our Blue Polish are ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS, but we are still growing out the flock. We currently have two blue roosters, two splash hens (one is a frizzle), five blue hens (two are frizzles), and two black hens (both smooth). We are an NPIP & AI certified farm in North Florida. We test fertility monthly and keep two roosters with nine hens to ensure strong fertility. We ship eggs every day of the week—we don’t hold them for Monday shipping. Eggs stay fresher going straight to you, and since USPS trucks and warehouses are climate-controlled (yes, even in summer—no melted candles here), it’s far better for hatch rates to get them moving quickly. We package eggs with extreme care: each egg is individually bubble wrapped, placed in a carton, the carton is bubble wrapped again, then packed into a smaller inner box buffered with shredded paper. That box is placed inside a larger outer box with additional packing material. This double-boxed system gives your eggs the best possible chance of arriving safely. Please read our full hatching guide before incubating: https://akersfarm.com/pages/hatching-guide Do not wash your eggs. Incubate at 100°F with 40–45% humidity. Candle at day 7 and discard any clears. At day 18, move eggs to lockdown and increase humidity to 50–60%. Most chicks hatch around day 21. Be prepared—we cannot replace eggs due to a poor hatch. Important Hatching Egg Disclaimer: We do not guarantee a hatch rate. This is standard with all shipped hatching eggs due to the many variables outside our control—postal handling, incubation methods, and temperature fluctuations all impact results. However, your eggs will leave our farm fresh, fertile, and packaged with extreme care. If you’re not familiar with the risks involved in buying shipped hatching eggs, please do not purchase. No refunds. No exceptions. By purchasing, you agree to these terms and acknowledge the risks. Follow us on FB & IG: @AkersFamilyFarm Also on Etsy + @TheSoapScientistPage |

Hatching eggs
Hatching eggs are collected freshly 2-4x a day. We only offer hatching eggs if we are able to collect your eggs within 5 total days. Typically, we can collect your order in as little as 1-2 days. However, we may have multiple orders when you place your order, so please check the processing times on each breeds description. We typically pull the inventory on a specific breed if the wait will be longer than a month. If you need a better estimate please contact us directly.

Shipping
Hatching eggs are shipped individually wrapped in bubble wrap. Each egg is placed into an egg carton, which is also bubble wrapped. This box is filled with shredded paper for buffer. The box is then placed into a second, larger box and buffered. This allows the best hatch rate.
Plants are shipped Monday-Wednesday only. They are packaged in rolled cardboard and poly fill to avoid breakage.
