Fall 2024 (October-December) availability update: Please expect the unexpected during the Fall in Florida.  Our birds will be laying FULL TIME one week and we will get zero eggs the next week.  Our priority is getting you FERTILIZED and FRESH eggs.  Please understand wait times cannot be estimated during this time of the year, but we will do our best.  You can contact us directly after you place your order. Please understand that wait time estimates given prior to placing your order CANNOT be guaranteed, since any number of customers can order in between the estimate and your order being placed.  Thank you for your understanding!

We have 2 roosters (one blue and one black) with 11 hens (4 splash, 4 blue and 3 black). You can hatch any of the three colors of copper maran.

Please understand that we collect our eggs FRESHLY. Our farm will take up to 5-6 total orders for a breed at any give time.

NPIP & AI certified farm located in north Florida. We test for fertility monthly and keep 1 rooster per 10 hens to ensure fertility. We CANNOT guarantee your hatch rate. Shipping hatching eggs is a gamble. We will guarantee that your eggs arrive well packaged and 100% fertilized. Due to the changes at USPS we no longer can file your damage claims, so please be prepared to file the claim online if the need arises.  As always, I am available by email to discuss any issues that arise.  I truly want you to have a great hatch rate and beautiful chicks!

***please note during the summer we ONLY ship on Monday-Tuesday depending on your location. Please understand hatching shipped eggs during the summer is a risk, I cannot refund your order due to a bad hatch rate or incubation during shipping. CANDLE and discard any bad eggs before incubating to avoid this issue. I send as many extras as I can to help you out***

Please do not wash your eggs prior to incubating them. We recommend incubating your eggs at 100F at a humidity of 40-45%. After 7 days candle your eggs and discard any that do not show growth. At day 18 candle your eggs again. At this time place all the developing eggs into lockdown at a humidity of 50-60%. They should hatch within a couple days, by day 21 of incubating.

Please make sure to be prepared prior to incubating your eggs on good hatching practices! I cannot replace your eggs due to a bad hatch. Once they have left my hands it’s impossible for me to control all the variables. If you need assistance with your hatch please contact me.

Hatching eggs

Hatching eggs are collected freshly 2-4x a day. We only offer hatching eggs if we are able to collect your eggs within 5 total days. Typically, we can collect your order in as little as 1-2 days. However, we may have multiple orders when you place your order, so please check the processing times on each breeds description. We typically pull the inventory on a specific breed if the wait will be longer than a month. If you need a better estimate please contact us directly.

Shipping

Hatching eggs are shipped individually wrapped in bubble wrap. Each egg is placed into an egg carton, which is also bubble wrapped. This box is filled with shredded paper for buffer. The box is then placed into a second, larger box and buffered. This allows the best hatch rate.

Plants are shipped Monday-Wednesday only. They are packaged in rolled cardboard and poly fill to avoid breakage.

Care information

Hatching eggs should be treated as described in our hatching guide.

Plants should be kept in their pots and allowed 1-2 weeks to acclimate to your home prior to repotting.
